For my residency with TRIANGLE on Governors Island in New York in 2022. I used the closets, hallways, and rooms of an abandoned colonel's home as spaces to create theaters of contemplation and consider the possible ways of interpreting the term “Physical Education."
An added benefit of working site-specifically is the ability to play with the natural light as if it were a found object. The atmosphere within these spaces changed throughout the day, becoming more blue as the sun set, and the specially installed lights became more pronounced.
